Fairmont hotel in Istanbul

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has declared a brand new development in Istanbul, and it is scheduled to start operation in 2016. The hotel will be connected by branded residences and it will be a part of Quasar Istanbul complex, which is a new mixed use development in Sisli district, a popular and vibrant neighbourhood mixing commercial and residential interests.

The program is being developed via a joint venture between Viatrans and Meydanbey. Viatrans, based in Geneva, specializes in shipping insurance and logistics as well as commercial real estate. The Quasar Istanbul coordination compound is in the central business place whose showpiece is ex Mecidiyeköy Liqueur and Cognac Factory.

Made in the 1930’s on then unexploited land, the factory was made by Robert Mallet-Stevens, who with Le Corbusier was one of the most influential French architects of that time. Two forty one story towers will sit above a four story office podium with luxury retail stores as well a fitness facilities.

The towers will have a Fairmont Hotel and Fairmont Residences and Quasar Residences as well as offices that will be managed by Fairmont. The hotel will have Fairmont Gold, several lounges and restaurants, two thousand square meters of function space, as well as a Willow Stream Spa.

Owners will be handed VIP status as well as privileges when they go to any Fairmont hotels or resorts across the world. Fairmont Hotels & Resorts' Jennifer Fox told that Istanbul is an exciting, dynamic city that will appeal to their business and leisure guests and at the same time complementing their other developments in the region, it is very exciting to be partnering with Viatrans on this amazing project blending hotel, residential and community space.
