Arat to appear at 2014 World Sports Congress

Hasan Arat, the Istanbul bid leader for 2020 Paralympics and Olympics, has been confirmed to be a part of the 2013 World Sports Congress that will take place in London later this month. There he will appear in a Q and A session on Turkish's cities push to hold the Games.

The Congress that is still to take place at Churchill Hyatt Regency in London on 26th and 27th February, will see Hasan Arat give an insight about Istanbul's bid with National Olympic Committee of Turkey vice-president to take questions from all the delegates regarding how his team plan to set a strong bid case.

This World Sports Congress will be one very last top public outings for Hasan Arat, who an ex top basketball player who is a well known property developer now. His last public outing will happen before International Olympic Committee Evaluation Commissions, which is headed by Britain's Sir Craig Reedie, will visit the Turkish capital Istanbul for their inspection of the city from 24th to 27th March.

The Turkish capital is bidding against Tokyo and Madrid for the right to host the Olympics and Paralympics in the year 2020 with the International Olympic Committee all set to select the host city in Buenos Aires on 7th September this year.

Mark Pannes, the chief executive of Italian club AS Roma, has been named as the 2013 World Sports Congress' chairman.
